Micky Beale suffered another big match defeat tonight when he watched his side crash to a 5-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven to crash out of the Champions League on a 7-3 aggregate.

The rookie Ibrox boss hasn’t been slow to blame Giovanni van Bronckhorst for the problems that he happily took on last November.

This time last year Van Bronckhorst led his side to a 1-0 victory away to PSV Eindhoven to take the Tribute Act into the Champions League group stage for the first time ever.

Beale had the same target tonight but the Brains Behind Steven Gerrard was caught well short as the Dutch side outclassed the SPFL losers in every department.

After going 2-0 down James Tavernier pulled up a goal back to give the visitors hope but 91 seconds later Luuk de Jong headed his side back into a two goal lead.

Connor Goldson rounded off a disastrous display with a hilarious own goal in the 81st minute as PSV cantered into Thursday’s Champions League draw.

Beale will have plenty to fink about after tonight’s hammering as he waits on Friday’s Europa League draw knowing that tonight’s defeat has cost his club £15m.
