Not at the right place- Haksabanovic shares his Celtic unhappiness

Normally when things aren’t going your way a footballer will post a crypic message on social media.

Some can be very vague, others are crystal clear but there is no degree needed in phycology to work out the mood of Sead Haksabanovic.

Signed from Rubin Kazan a year ago his blistering pace instantly caught the eye, now however it seems that there is little more to his game than eye-catching runs.

With Jota sold last month there was a clear succession path for Haksabanovic but for whatever reasons it hasn’t happened.

Liking that post isn’t the smartest thing for Alexandro Bernabei to do.

Clearly the player feels hard done to, that he is underappreciated. If his feelings are so strong his agent has five days left to find a club that can accommodate his skill-set, it is unlikely that Celtic will be hard to deal with.

Yesterday Haksabanovic was sent on in the 60th minutes to replace David Turnbull against a side that arrived at Celtic Park on the back of defeats from Stirling Albion, Hearts and Ross County.

Having failed to shine in those circumstances it is unlikely that there will be a stampede of interest from other clubs looking to bring Haksa into their squad.

Him and Bernabei have proven themselves to be substandard anyway, if they’re not happy then get the useless sods tae fk sharpish

  • harold shand says:

He’s not good enough , had starts and done nothing , 15 minute flashes ain’t cutting it

Bye bye thanks and good luck in your future

  • Ian Francis Mcguigan says:

Maybe he should throw away the diamond encrusted gumshield and get the frigging finger out and do a bit. Another mercenary imposter.

  • Captain Swing says:

He has flattered only to deceive. If he wants to “try his luck” elsewhere I think it’s fair to say he has our blessing. After a promising start he has proved a better addition to Glasgow’s hairdressers and tattoo parlours than our first team.

  • Eldraco says:

It’s a fair enough comment by him, he is among several players now that are being played out of position, to far back or on the opposite side of their natural fit. Thats not his fault that’s down to the coaches and Rodgers and they had 2 months to sort that!!

  • the maister says:

Has plenty of chances to prove it, like against Them when he failed to score.
And what is all that kissing himself ritual every time he takes to the Park?

  • Paul Mac says:

Thought one of the main criticisms was that he didn´t have enough pace to be a winger? Can´t remember seeing his “blistering pace” in many games .. scored a few goals when coming off the bench but not done enough when given a start. Always a mystery exactly where his best position is .. winger or No10 ? Bernabei has supposedly unliked it now last time I looked .. however abilgaard (he is in Serie A believe it or not) Soro and Oh have liked it … Oh maybe because he is in it ??

  • Adoo Fellaffadyke says:

James – “blistering pace” ??? – I must have been watching a different player.
