Beale is the favourite in the SPFL sack race

Micky Beale is the strong favourite to become the next SPFL boss to be sacked.

After heavy investment in the summer the former QPR boss reverted back to the serial losers for the matches against PSV Eindhoven and Celtic with Tav doing what Tav does.

At the final whistle after losing to Celtic angry fans showered the players with abuse as Beale raced off down the tunnel to fink up some good excuses and deflection tactics.

Twelve days of anger have poured over social media with barely any fans prepared to stand up for Beale who is under contract until 2026.

There are no obvious successors out there but the SPFL’s longest serving boss, David Martindale of Livingston, ticks plenty of boxes but might be a step too far for the Ibrox board to take on bearing in mind his jail stint for drug dealing and money laundering.

Ramping up the pressure The Sun reports:

SportsLens have Beale almost odds-on to be the next manager to face the same fate as Lee Johnson, who suffered the ignominy of being the first coach to lose his job in the top flight this season.

Beale is 11/10 to be the next man sacked out of the 12 managers in the league.

Aberdeen’s winless start to the campaign has Barry Robson on somewhat of a shoogly peg at 6/4 to be the next to receive a P45.

After those two the odds length considerably, with Steven Naismith 12/1 to be the next manager sacked.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers can live without too much fear of losing his job next at 50/1 while Nick Montgomery, newly-appointed to the hot seat at Hibs, is the most safe at 150/1.

After the way that he acted with QPR Beale is highly unlikely to find many doors opening to him when the inevitable happens although he could join the team on Radio Scotland’s Sportsound hosted by Kenny Macintyre.

it will be interesting to see the refs response in coming weeks , have they been updated on sevcos position that they want rid of the 2 bob jellied eel salesman and to ” whoa whoa ” with the gratuitous weekly penalty that kept him in a job up until now ? it could also frustrate the slack jawed ones if the refs prolong the inevitable , they put their heads on the block for beale last season , but they never expected the executioners be of the sevco persuasion , their dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t , i’d love to be a fly on GVB’s wall watching them all squirm !!!

It will indeed be interesting Bertie as what Sevco wants from The SFA / SPFL Sevco gets…

Refs are really between a rock and a hard place now…

Beale wants protected by officials as he openly said in plain sight yesterday –

The club are using media poodles to drop bits and bobs about ‘replacements’ etc…

So who do The MIB’s please then –

It’ll be interesting to see, but one things for sure – It’ll be Anyone bar Celtic !
