Kenny Miller has told Ibrox fans that Micky Beale can turn the season around.

Since lunchtime on Sunday there has been non-stop abuse of the Ibrox boss on social media with only the timescale for his sacking to be finalised.

Last season’s big match defeats were tolerated as fans looked forward to a new start built around Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin.

Nine new signings were in the door before the SPFL opener at Kilmarnock but a month into the season Beale’s side have been dumped out of the Champions League and are trailing four points behind Celtic in the SPFL Premiership after just four matches.

The manager is the focal point for almost all of the anger but it seems like the Ibrox pundits are united in standing behind the under fire boss- for now.

The Daily Record reports Miller saying:

He can absolutely recover. I understand the outcry and frustrations. It is there for all to see when things are not going as well as everyone would like but the only way you can turn it is by winning games.

The performances need to improve and the personnel within that need to improve. It is not just the manager

I get he has the responsibility with the signings but it is also up to the individuals on the field to take the responsibility and perform. It is really important that in Rangers’ next phase of games, they pretty much go unscathed.

I understand the frustrations of fans but stability and continuity also, for me, gives you a better chance of achieving success. Where Rangers are at the moment is not where any fans of the club want to see them.

Miller’s views can also be found on TalkSPORT, Radio Scotland, Go Radio, Radio Clyde, Sky Sports and Sportscene.
