Brendan Rodgers has made three changes to the Celtic side that beat Dundee for tonight’s match against Feyenoord.

Nat Phillips, David Turnbull and Yang Hyun-jun drop out with Gus Lagerbielke, Reo Hatate and Luis Palma coming in to the side.

Turnbull and Yang drop onto the bench but Phillips misses out completely after rolling his ankle in the win over Dundee.

Hatate starts his first match of the season as Rodgers goes with an attack minded formation in the usual 4-3-3 formation.

After keeping a clean sheet at Ibrox the Liam Scales and Lagerbielke partnership is trusted again with both men starting just a handful of matches this season.

Tonight’s officials are from Bosnia, in the other group E match Lazio host Atletico Madrid with Matchday 2 coming up on October 4 when Lazio visit Celtic Park.

CELTIC: Hart; A Johnston, Lagerbielke, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate, Palma, Kyogo, Maeda

SUBS: Bain, Morrison, Yang, Turnbull, Holm, Oh, Iwata, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston, M Johnston

An absolute disgrace so far tonight against a shower we could murder with a wee bit of flair and a lot more effort.
I just hope Brendan has watched what I’ve had to suffer and changes it up big style for the 2nd half.

Once again…total disappointment….but typical Celtic springs to mind…Its in our DNA.
A decent first 45 minutes…ruined by a needless free kick give away…which was then
    ” defended ” pathetically…
    Kyogo in the wall…??….Feckin’ joke…Joe’s positioning ??…Dodgy.
Feyenoord were bang average…but overall were better than us.
We have players who would struggle to get a game in my team ( seriously) and a message to BR…If you’re going to play “the passing game”…do it with players who can pass the ball….I hope Greg Taylor ( among others ) reads this…because he can’t.
I’m a great fan of technical ability…and we don’t have a lot of it…So when it comes to Europe…we will struggle.
Continental teams are way ahead of us in this regard.
As for the red cards…??…Well its Celtic…Its Europe…That’s what we do.
And the backlash online tonight from Celtic fans regarding our “wonderful” bank balance…against the players we have brought in…is totally justified.
Its obvious that “off-field ” matters have played a part in our signings…and we’ll say no more than that !!…
But NOT ONE of our recent signings has filled me with optimism…NOT ONE.!!
Celtic supporters have to accept the fact that the INCOME from the CL is all that matters to the people who run our Club…Who doesn’t want a bulging Bank Account ?
And when BR says as long as we are in Europe after Christmas ( anywhere in Europe btw) then you have a measure of our ambitions.
Sorry guys…Financial rewards are the name of the game now…The rest is secondary.

    Yes, deeply disappointing game.

We could / should have got a point tonight, and 3rd place already looks like a stretch?

And what was going through Holm’s head with that shocker of a tackle?

…but on the bright side, the club did report record profits! 🙁
