John Eustace has emphatically rejected speculation that he is Ibrox bound.

The Birmingham boss has got off to a flying start in The Championship which virtually mirrors Micky Beale’s start to last season at QPR.

That has led to speculation that Eustace, a close friend of Mark Warburton, could be Beale’s successor at Ibrox with the current boss looking unlikely to survive until his first anniversary in November.

After losing to PSV Eindhoven and Celtic anger among Ibrox fans has exploded with many acknowledging that Beale’s next defeat will be his last.

The Sun reports Eustace saying:

Rangers have got a fantastic manager already there. That’s not a job that interests me at all. I am very proud and honoured to be the Birmingham City manager and I want to help grow this football club for as long as I can

It is very unusual for a manager to respond so directly to a question, even if he has also praised Beale.

With reports linking Kevin Muscat and Graham Potter with the job it seems to be an open secret that plans are being made for life after Beale.

The under fire boss is expected to speak to the media tomorrow with Sky Sports showing Saturday’s 12.30pm kick off from St Johnstone.

    He’s wise – The Championship is a great League…

It’s competitive, dramatic and unforgiving – everybody beats everybody else –

I support an unfashionable club in it and use my cash that I used to shell out on a Celtic season ticket for Parkhead going to see that said unfashionable club live and a good boozy weekend twice a year…

Sevco would turn John into a Useless Eustace !

Even Harry Potter with his magic wand couldn’t help sevco.
