The denials from 2012 look like they are coming home to roost.
Rather than trying to start an honest club, living within their means that would quickly become the second best club in Scotland probably capable of picking up a trophy every second year the Tribute Act told their market audience that they were actually the most successful club in the world.
Having stood back doing hee-haw during the final 12 months of Rangers it was a comforting thought to be told that their cherished institution had been subjected to an incredible miscarriage of justice orchestrated by the SFA, John Reid, Peter Lawwell, Lloyds Bank and HMRC who were under direct control from the Vatican.
The silly bears didn’t band together like fans of Hearts, Dundee, Motherwell and Dunfermline to save their club but never mind it all happened to the company, not their cherished club formed in 1872 or 1873.
Reaching the top flight in 2016 they have witnessed the greatest ever trophy monopoly with 17 out of 22 trophies won by Celtic.
Within a year or two Celtic should overtake the combined trophy haul of both Ibrox clubs- leaving angry bears to wonder why they bought into the Continuity Lie of 2012 when deep down they all knew the brutal truth. They let their club die and there is no going back.
