In an unusual move the club from Ibrox have moved to deny a tweet claiming that contact has been made with Kevin Muscat over replacing Micky Beale.

It highlights how edgy things are when a tweet from Aussie Scout, with less than 10,000 followers creates an on the record denial.

Across Social Media there is an incredible demand to have Beale sacked after fans have once again been made to look foolish by buying into another fake Revolution.

Being beaten by PSV Eindhoven and Celtic within the space of four days has utterly demolished the myth of Beale with some bears even questioning whether he really was the Brains Behind Gerrard.

Aussie Scout has Fabrizio Romano amongst his followers and claimed that contact had been made from Ibrox with the Daily Record given a denial.

It would be incredible incompetence on the part of any football club if they weren’t covering themselves for a change of manager. As QPR discovered last season Beale can say one thing one week then be touting himself shamelessly to replace another manager days later.

With Ange Postecoglou lending credibility to Australian managers, Hibs seem to be in negotiations with Nick Montgomery it would be natural if James Bisgrove and John Bennet were keeping an eye on Muscat as well as Davie Martindale and Robbie Neilson’s post Hearts mobile phone number.

Craig Moore wears a variety of hats including one as a pundit, one for media duty while cheerleading all things Ibrox.

As a former team-mate of Muscat he would be an obvious go-between to sound out the prospects of a deal although his briefing on the state of the squad Beale’s successor will inherit may not be the most appealing.
