If you are wanting to cut it in coaching it is probably best to start off at the top of the tree.
Back in May Charlie Mulgrew the player was suffering relegation with Dundee United, this week the budding coach has been preparing for a Champions League tie against Lazio.
When the action gets underway tomorrow night the former Scotland defender will be the best informed fan in the stadium as Celtic take on the Italian giants.
An invaluable few days learning from one of the best. Massive thanks to Brendan Rodgers and his staff for allowing me to watch them work, in the build up to the Lazio game. Good luck @CelticFC pic.twitter.com/GUHQbO0UIe

At the start of this season Mulgrew took the decision to step down from playing, a career that included two stints at Celtic, working under Gordon Strachan, Neil Lennon and Ronny Deila.
None of those coaches have the profile of Brendan Rodgers with the Irishman happy to help out any aspiring coach having worked his own way through from Reading and Chelsea under-age sides into management at Reading, Watford and Swansea before hitting the big time with Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester.
Mulgrew could probably have found himself a player coach role in Scottish football but has opted for time out to build up his coaching credentials before going in at the sharp end.
