After 10 months and 43 matches Micky Beale has been sacked as Ibrox boss.
The Brains Behind Gerrard had a contract until 2026 and no prospect of getting into top line management ever again after doing the dirty on QPR.
Less than a year ago Beale was actively undermining Giovanni van Bronckhorst as the Dutchman suffered the consequences of becoming the worst manager in the history of the Champions League.
His dream came true last November during the World Cup break with a couple of honest mistakes helping him to an early winning run before drawing 2-2 at home to Celtic on January 2.
Calling Ange Postecoglou a lucky manager backfired as the Australian won three derbies in three different competitions to ensure another trophy-less season.
Winning the Dead Rubber Trophy sent the bears into the summer full of expectations as Beale signed up nine superstars to compliment Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin.
Grim pre-season performances were followed by a defeat in the SPFL opener away to Kilmarnock- further defeats to PSV Eindhoven and Celtic meant that Beale was a dead man walking.
Four wins in 10 days without losing a goal fooled no-one, after the 3-1 defeat from Aberdeen in was time up with Steve Davis and Alex Rae stepping into the blazer and brogues of dignity- the fifth management team in 24 months following on from Steven Gerrard, David McCallum, van Bronckhorst and Beale.
The club is pleased to announce that Steven Davis will lead the interim management team.
The team will consist of former Rangers player and hugely experienced coach Alex Rae, former Rangers player and current coach Steven Smith, coach Brian Gilmour, and goalkeeping coach, Colin…

Already I’m seeing orcs and the hun media say they had their doubts about Beale from the start
This grifter bamboozled the lot of them with his blag and they were all fully aboard the Beale bus
He’s made they look like a right bunch of nobs
As far as i know not one of the new team has any experience as a head coach and Alex Rae.s is as an assistant and not a very good one so time will tell mot hopeful of things changing ,they may get a little bounce but not sure
So the klub find themselves snookered and bring in Steve Davis.
Now as for the other nickel&dime names mentioned Alex Rae(aka wee Quark from Deep Space 9) just who are they the klan klub have brought in.
Every klub Rae has been involved with either get relegated or end up fighting that battle.
Quite surprised they haven’t whipped in McCann and Benny Miller as well,no doubt Rae is in there to influence the players with him being a BIGOT.
Going by the names taking over that ghe board shiting themselves and giving into klan klub fans pressure.
Lol remember when big Ange left the klan klubs fans and their mates in the media had been mouthing off that Ange had been run out of town because he feared Beale and his REVOLUTION.
Is that the best that Bennett & Bisgrove can come up with:
an ‘Interim DreamTeam’ of Davies & Rae?!
And you just know, IF they can string together some ‘ok’ results,
they’ll be left in post for the duration – to save sevco some cash.
Meantime, the bears will be deluding themselves with expectations that
a decent [i.e. NOT cheap] manager will soon be coming to ibrox.
What a shame that kockney Fkwit has left that shambles of a klub!!
Who’s next to walk that plank of doom&gloom!?
While Beale was pretty hopeless and full of smoke and mirrors he had some experience.
This is what happens when you end up with the worst elements of the old clubs support and letting
extreme fan media inside the tent.
Those in charge are now hostage to these elements, having to react to their whims.
If this ramshackle squad lose to St. Mirren at the weekend they will be demanding Davis and Rae are binned.
Beale will privately be delighted, relived and substantially wealthy tonight !
I won’t miss his bullshit smooth talk crap on the radio but I will ABSOLUTELY miss his lack of managerial ability for certain…
Damn it I was looking forward to him being in the job for another 5 or 10 years. That’s Sunday ruined.
“The club is pleased to announce…”
“Say no more, knudge knudge, wink wink…”
