I’d rather walk the dog- Kris Boyd gives up on his Ibrox heroes

After watching his favourites lose 2-1 to ARIS Limassol in the Europa League Kris Boyd was looking forward to taking his dog for a walk.

It seems that watching Billy the Bulldog pishing against a tree holds more enjoyment that viewing his mates Davo and wee Alex looking after the most successful club in world football.

On Wednesday night Boyd was sharing his love for former Lazio ace Paul Gascoigne, after that brief escape it was a return to reality watching Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers in the Europa League.

It wasn’t a great game. Really poor. Rangers have a lot of work to do. Michael Beale has lost his job, Steven Davis has put out a team and again they’ve let the club down.

Performance levels are nowhere near what is required and some of them really need to have a hard look at themselves there’s no doubt about it. There’s a lot of work to be done and I’m just delighted I’m going to walk my dog because that will be more exciting than what I’ve just watched.

On Sunday Boyd will be joined by Chris Sutton in Paisley as Davis and Rae try to avoid going into the international break trailing St Mirren in the Premiership table.
