Chris Jack has warned anxious bears that there is still no sign of a successor for Micky Beale being appointed.
Since losing to Celtic on September 3 the former QPR boss was a dead man walking with the September 30 defeat from Aberdeen the result that forced the Ibrox board into action.
All of the usual messengers were alerted to John Bennett and James Bisgrove being in London all week to conduct interviews for their prize job.

Out of work Clemente and Japan-based Muscat seem to be the preferred option but neither man has agreed to take on the carnage left behind by last year’s Messiah.
As well as a seven figure salary and three or four year contract the next manager will be demanding a January war-chest while the club tries to get rid of duds like Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers, Ridvan Yilmaz and Ben Davies.
Meeting the demands of the Gullible & Deluded is a big ask but overtaking Celtic without a war-chest is a task that Clement and Muscat are unlikely to sign up for.
