Loser Beale’s Farewell Statement

With pay-offs for himself and his staff secured Micky Beale has issued a statement following his Ibrox sacking.

After 10 months that covered 43 matches and eight defeats, half of them to Celtic, time was called on the Brains Behind Gerrard last night following a 3-1 home defeat to Aberdeen.

Winning four matches on the bounce without conceding a goal counted for nothing as angry bears screamed for action as their side slipped seven points behind Celtic after seven matches of a very favourable fixture list.

Beale wasn’t quite his usual arrogant self over the last few weeks but after Saturday’s defeat he criticised fans for not being more supportive of the duds that he had signed.

When his reign is examined Celtic and Kyogo Furuhashi will loom large in any review. The Japanese striker was a figure on fun for Ibrox fans a year ago, six goals in four victories exposed Beale and his brilliant ideas as empty rhetoric.

Despite wins over Morton and Livingston Beale won’t get the chance to lift the League Cup in December with a future career beckoning in youth coaching mixed up with appearances on BBC Scotland with Kenny Macintyre trotting out excuses for his failings.
