Combining half a dozen salaries caught up with Douglas Ross yesterday as he hobbled out of the Peterhead v Dundee United Challenge Cup tie with 15 minutes left to play.

Fortunately with the match being televised there was a fourth official on stand-by with Dan McFarlane taking over from the chubby politician for the remainder of the match which Dundee United won 2-0.

As well as match fees and very generous expenses from the SFA for waving a flag Ross picks up salaries from Westminster and Holyrood as an MP and list MSP and is a paid columnist with the Daily Mail.

It has been reported that Ross suffered a calf injury but there are other theories about what caused him to make an early exit from Peterhead, no doubt a full match fee will be paid out by the SFA.

A calf injury could put Ross out of action for a month or more, impacting on one of his key income streams.

D-ross ‘Pulls a calf’ – You could infer that as D-ross ‘Shagges a cow’ or some might say a Pig !!!

  • Bob (original) says:

Knew he was an MP – but how can you be an MSP as well?

He’s devaluing both roles as being part-time, at best.

But, I suppose being a Tory you just grab the cash and don’t think

    twice about it?

And us paying punters continue to complain about the honesty and integrity

of the Scottish Referees’ Association members… 🙁
