There was a very awkward moment at the end of Celtic’s 2-2 draw at home to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Straight after the final whistle Diego Simeone seemed to extend his applause towards the small group of Atletico fans away to his right hand side.

Brendan Rodgers was waiting for the courtesy of a handshake when his opposite number swiftly turned to head down the tunnel with the briefest of handshakes free from eye contact.

There was no suggestion of any problems between the two dug-outs during the match although Simeone was very agitated in the closing stages, especially when Antoine Griezmann appeared to pick up a head knock.

The result sees Atletico slip into second place behind Feyenoord and one place in front of Lazio with all to play for in Group E with Celtic not yet out of contention.

On November 7 the two sides will meet again in the Spanish capital with everything still at stake in the group.

It would have been nice to win but that point leaves Sevco still as the lowest ever total of points in a Champions League group…

A zero club or club zero !

Take yer pick or both any Sevco lurkers !

Simeone was prepared to have his own player buried (supposed head knock) before he’d allow any physio on. Until the player recovered (surprise) and another few (phew) minutes could be wasted. An injury-inducing cynicism displayed by the visitors in their ‘retro shirt of shame’.
Celtic, for their part, were at times sublime. These Euro experiences will fashion a more formidable force but the football, even now, at times is a delight to watch. Well done BR & the Bhoys.

Another sucker punch to lose a goal in 53′.
Two clever goals. But we could have done with a cupla dumb ones as well!
Kyogo disappeared in the second half, so probably we should have gone too 4-4-2 to protect our lead!
We have a lot to learn!
