‘By your side we’re loyal and true’ announced the Onion Bears at Ibrox last night with the media messengers happy to share the ‘stunning image’ with their loyal followers.

Later today the Daily Record will run with their World Media Reacts story when no one outside of Scotland and the Czech Republic is the slightest but interested in either club.

A bizarre display of red and white against a mainly blue background brought suggestions that the display was sponsored by Pepsi or was based on an old Aguafresh box.

Loyal and True requires some heavy lifting- especially when genuine bears like Barry Ferguson, Kenny Miller and Kris Boyd described the closing scenes at the end of the September match against Celtic as the most toxic that they have known.

James Tavernier knew all about it as he led Micky Beale’s losers on a lap of honour just days after losing 5-1 to PSV Eindhoven in a Champions League qualifier.

When Aberdeen won 3-1 at Ibrox at the end of September it was the final time that Beale heard the booing and abuse that he had forced Giovanni van Bronckhorst out of the club 10 months earlier.

Most famously in 2011 and 2012 the loyal and true bears sat back grumbling as their club was sold for £1 before going into administration and liquidation.

Fans of Hearts, Dunfermline, Dundee, Motherwell and Partick Thistle dug deep into their pockets when their clubs went into administration- coming up with the funds for CVA’s to avoid the humiliation of liquidation.

At Ibrox they marched to Hampden, staged a red card protest and blamed the Kaflik takeover of HMRC, Lloys Bank and a sinister campaign from the Vatican and their UK based agents for the death of their club in 2012.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

They set the Bob Shankley stand ablaze, with flaming flares, from side to side and from top to bottom.
And a thirteen year old girl was allegedly assaulted during the game!
Where is the evidence from out Board of misdemeanour from the Green Brigade, for Celtic to ban them
    “Indefinitely”?
Or are they just nodding in obedience to their sevco masters at Ibrokes?
