Graham Dorrans is tipping Celtic for a points deduction from the SFA- with the Daily Record all over the stupidest of comments.

The former Scotland midfielder spent two seasons at Ibrox under Pedro Caixinha and Steven Gerrard, making 16 SPFL appearances before moving on to Dundee where he had a similar impact.

Every match at Ibrox was accompanied by anti-Catholic and anti-Irish chants which never once attracted the attention of the SFA or SPFL never mind action.

In 2019 UEFA twice shut down sections of Ibrox due to racist chanting at their matches, prompting the rushed Anyone, Everyone PR gimmick.

According to Dorrans some unspecified incident involving the Green Brigade could result in the SFA deducting SPFL points with the Record happy to headline the comments

Dorrans told Go Radio: “I think in general any club, if there is rules and guidelines to follow and a club feels that a section of supporters are not following them then they are going to take action if there is evidence there. Any club whether it is Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen or whoever it is if they are not abiding by the rule and causing trouble when getting into away games, fighting stewards or whatever is it is that they are accused of then there is going to be action taken.

“Whether that goes to a points deduction from the SFA I don’t know, but this has dragged on for far too long now and I think we need to get together and draw a line under it.”

The Daily Record is one of Celtic’s favoured media partners with privilidged access to players and management.
