David Tanner has gone on his first major rant of the season- celerating the news that Daizen Maeda will be out of action for around six weeks.
Last season the Japanese forward collected all three Scottish domestic honours which is one more than James Tavernier has collected in the last eight years.
After following in Jim White’s slipstream to Sky Sports News in 1999 it seemed that the future was bright for Tanner despite his obvious issues with autocue.
Hosting Scottish football presentations with Neil McCann he put on as brave a face as possible covering Celtic’s domination until Sky pulled the plug in the summer of 2017.
The career descent since then has been spectacular, not helped by Emma Dodds
picking up the broadcasting jobs that Tanner would have expected to walk into.

Recently TalkSPORT has provided Tanner with a press pass back to Ibrox by creating a role as their Scottish football correspondent.
It seems like the emotions of Thursday night coupled with Remembrance Weekend has got through to the wee man who has shared the sort of content that he keeps for message boards onto his Twitter account.
TalkSPORT has yet to cover the strange case of one club going 66 SPFL Premiership matches without conceding a penalty, a world record for top flight clubs.
