Brendan Rodgers has cast more doubt over Celtic’s recruitment policy by revealing that he wanted the club to sign four quality players when he replaced Ange Postecoglou.

Seven signings were made of players mainly categorised as projects with three of them failing to make it into the Champions League squad.

Tomoki Iwata’s loan deal was converted into a permanent move with Nat Phillips and Paulo Bernardo brought in on loan in the final week of the transfer window.

The comment about adding four player was to bolster the squad that he inherited, by the first week of August he had to find replacements for Jota, Carl Starfelt and Aaron Mooy.

During the summer Rodgers was happy to go on record stating that it was his job to work with the players supplied by the club, suggesting that he had little involvement in recruiting new signings.

That viewpoint seems to be changing on a week to week basis, at last week’s AGM he emphasised that he had the final say on signings but now appears to be putting pressure on Mark Lawwell to improve quality in January while trimming down the number of the 30 plus first team squad.

    He’s a snake.

BR should have been saying that – very publicly – during the summer,

when something could have be done about it.

Is he working his ticket already…?

The REAL ‘owner’ of Celtic FC is our supporters without whom we have nothing.

It’s high time this truth was shown demonstrably at CP by showing Lawwell (our enemy) the door. His fingerprints are all over our consistent refusal to build from a point of strength and to keep the new huns relevant as in his fukked-up, bean-counter’s head we cannot live without huns. It’s bollocks and it needs to be challenged big style.

HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ALLOWED BACK INTO CP. GHTF!

We need quality players and we need them now. At a minimum we need a ‘keeper and another striker but I’m sure Brendan knows all that. If Lawwell & Son can’t provide they can be removed. BTW, he’s (Lawwell) tried it on with the GB as they are the only supporters he fears. For that reason alone the Celtic support should get behind the GB.

That evil bastard Thatcher did it (confronted) the miners and won as not enough fellow workers got behind them. I was not guilty of that as I knew what Thatcher was doing.

Don’t let Lawwell remain in situ by shutting the GB down. He’s a feral snake that needs its head neutralised.

Hail! Hail! The Glasgow Celtic, Hail! Hail! The Green Brigade. F**k Lawwell and all his ilk and throw them out of Paradise. A c**t like no other!

Undermined by Lawwell again. This time he’s got 2 diddies to contend with.
Fans also hoodwinked after being gouged for cash all summer, everyone knew what the team needed to move forward, it wasn’t 7 projects and 2 loans.
Rodgers will leave again and who could blame him. The club is being run by a bunch of clueless Tory arse holes who care more for their friends across the river than their own customers.

Run Brendan , run . You’re wasting your time , and reputation having to rely on that shower of shxte on our board .I wont blame him one bit when he does do a runner . Who among us fans could work with the lawwells ?
