Sadly for Ideguchi, on his only start away to Alloa he was the victim of a brutal challenge which restricted him to a handful of substitute appearances while the others made themselves must-picks for Postecoglou.
At the age of 27 Ideguchi has already had brief spells in Scotland, England and Belgium on his CV. He might feel that there is unfinished business for him in Europe or realise that the J-League is best suited to his style of play.
