Todd Cantwell has pulled out of tonight’s Europa League tie away to Real Betis due to a family matter.

The Ibrox influencer hasn’t used social media for a number of days.

After drawing at home to ARIS Limassol on Matchday 5 Philippe Clement’s side almost certainly need a win tonight to go through to the knock out phase of the Europa League.

A defeat would leave them at the mercy of Sparta Prague who go to Cyprus knowing that a win will guarantee them a place in the Europa League after the new year.

Clement’s side is already without midfielders Ryan Jack, Nico Raskin and Tom Lawrence, speaking at yesterday’s media conference the Ibrox boss told The Sun why he’ll be without the former Norwich starlet:

Todd (Cantwell) is not here because of personal circumstances which we will respect. This is a family matter and it is important we respect privacy.

Cantwell was substituted before half time at home to Limassol.

John Lundstram and Jose Cifuentes look certain to start with virtually no other alternative for Clement but to play Sam Lammers against the Spaniards.
