BBC Scotland in overdrive over the Continuation Lie

BBC Scotland as published a poll claiming that Rangers are the second biggest club in Scotland.

As football fans across the country share their love for Craig Whyte on the 12th anniversary of Administration the state broadcaster digs deeper and deeper into denial over the events of 2012.

Despite some strong reporting at the time from Mark Daly BBC Scotland has repeatedly attempted to rewrite history with mouthpieces like Tom English, Kenny Macintyre, Jane Lewis, Alasdair Lamont and a cast of a million minions all on message to sidestep administration and liquidation.

No distinction is made in the poll between the Rangers Football Club that went into liquidation in 2012 and the new club formed by Charles Green.

In July 2012 Scottish Football League members generously voted them into their third tier as Dundee took their place in the SPL. The new club took part in the Irn Bru Petrofac Challenge Cup, started in the League Cup in the first round with their first ever Scottish Cup tie played away to Forres Mechanics on 29 September 2012. European football was four years away.

Over the course of 12 years Green’s Tribute Act has won three domestic trophies, plus the 2016 Petrofac Challenge Cup, the same amount of trophies as St Johnstone.

Last week ‘Motherwell fan’ Nick McPheat opened the ‘debate’ showing his wacky side he described Celtic not winning a 10th successive title in season 2020/21 as tin pottery. No other current Scottish clubs has won nine trophies this century.

BBC Scotland is fully funded by the BBC Licence fee.
