Chris Sutton brilliantly trolls the obsessed bears watching Celtic’s victory

After celebrating the elevation of James Tavernier into their Hall of Fame it is fair to say that Ibrox fans know a thing or two about penalties.

In the early days of the Philippe Clement reign John Beaton (twice) and Nick Walsh delivered vital penalties after the 85th minute to cushion the Belgian’s arrival in Scottish football.

When Willie Collum failed to follow instructions he was subjected to three different statements issued to preferred media messengers.

There was nothing contrived about either of Celtic’s penalties last night, perhaps the timings might have been painful for the watching bears but with Nick Walsh from Boclair Academy and Andrew Dallas on VAR there was no chance of any borderline calls going Celtic’s way.

Sutton gets the paranoia of bears at every turn, his profile riles them with the respect, reach and influence he has, way beyond the parochial Scottish media scene.

Last night Sutton was relieved from sharing a studio with wacky Kris Boyd, he watched from the commentary box with Neil Lennon and James McFadden having to put up with the man child from Tarbolton.
