Two of the top talents in the current England squad have acknowledged Joe Hart’s decision to retire at the end of this season.

Turning 37 in April the keeper has made a huge impression on Celtic and seems to have been well liked at clubs throughout his career.

Back in season 2017/18 Hart was on loan at West Ham where Rice was trying to break into the first team- while also moving through the international ranks for Ireland.

Clearly out of favour at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola having spent the previous season on loan with Torino the keeper made 19 EPL appearances at the London Stadium while making an impact on West Ham’s promising young midfielder.

Fodan was an 11-year-old City fan when Hart played his part in their first EPL title triumph which culminated with the dramatic stoppage time winner delivered by Sergio Aguero, now Foden has five of those gongs with Hart a famous part of the side that made the breakthrough in 2012.

Plenty of Hart’s past and present Celtic team mates joined in the congratulations but Brendan Rodgers and the Celtic Recruitment Department now has the difficult task of finding a successor to the retiring legend.
