Paul67 has stepped up his attacks on Brendan Rodgers with an incredible claim that Marco Tilio and Kwon Hyeok-kyu should be key members of the Celtic first team.

Back in June when news emerged that the Irishman was the front runner to replace Ange Postecoglou Paul67 was quick to rubbish the idea claiming that it was to boost the confidence and profile of the former Celtic boss.

Celtic Quick News was one of the first dedicated fan media websites, with Gordon Strachan in charge they were invited in to broadcast media conferences to provide an alternative take to the hostility of BBC Scotland, Sky Sports, STV and the others.

That independence soon developed into full on cheerleading, not for Celtic but for Peter Lawwell with every decision from the then CEO portrayed is the most positive of lights. No instructions were required with Paul67 developing into auto pilot, especially when entitled fans were questioning the motives of his cherished CEO.

Clearly CQN was getting briefed from somewhere inside the club, after a while that was no longer required with Paul67 so well tuned in that he knew exactly the message to send out.

With Celtic’s season imploding there has been no criticism of the Chairman or Head of Recruitment, Mark Lawwell has barely been mentioned with Rodgers the constant source of everything that is going wrong at Celtic.

Marco Tilio scored a spectacular equaliser which secured a draw for Melbourne City away to Sydney this morning.  His first touch, change of pace, drop of the shoulder and finish from 18 yards were all exceptional.

It took 61 minutes for A-League viewers to see this from Marco, which is more than twice as much game time he was allowed at Celtic before being shipped out on loan.

Since joining St Mirren on loan last month, Hyeok-kyu Kwon has been a revelation at the heart of a Scottish Premiership midfield.  Marco’s 27 minutes for Celtic were 27 more than Kwon got before being shipped out.

Both players are Celtic players because they are genuine talents.  The reputation we are earning by not giving them opportunities will only do us damage.

Tilio looked at least a stone overweight scoring his goal, coming from the South Korean Second Division St Mirren is probably a better match for Kwon than a team with Champions League aspirations.

Paul67 rarely posts on a Saturday but today seems to be an exception.

Meanwhile fellow cheerleader Harry Brady rediscovered the Celtic Underground recording equipment to state the case for Lawwell and Lawwell claiming that they are merely carrying out the wishes of Dermot Desmond.
