After two substitute appearances and one goal Nicolas Kuhn is well aware of the demands and expectations on Celtic.

The former Rapid Vienna winger was one of the few bright sparks in Saturday’s 1-1 draw away to Aberdeen.

Soon after coming off the bench he cut in from the right wing, shot with his left foot and saw his effort deflected into the net for an equaliser.

There was a stroke of good fortune about the goal but after an hour of frustration on the bench Kuhn realised that if you don’t take shots at goal you’ll never find the net.

Before and after the match there were banners and chants from the away support complaining about the Celtic board, an issue that the players couldn’t avoid noticing.

Speaking to the Sun the German winger said:

The quality of the team is very good. We will also give our best every week. Yes, there is a long way to go and a lot of games to play. Of course we need to be positive.

We need the fans and we also need to stay together, so we can improve and get better in every game. We wanted three points because one is not enough. We are a bit disappointed. We can’t drop too many points, but we need to keep going.

After his impact away to Aberdeen Kuhn is very much in line for a starting place on Wednesday away to Hibs as Celtic look to put Saturday’s draw behind them.

While Celtic have their issues the Edinburgh side appear to be in big trouble following Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat from St Mirren with all of the goals coming in the first half.

The way Celtic are at the moment Hibs may well have something to cheer them up come Wednesday.

If we drop anything at Easter Road it’s pretty well fucked…

As tragic as that will be one useful thing to come out of it would be the deserved abuse towards the chairman and the directors –

Obviously I dearly hope that it doesn’t come to pass as that would mean we are winning but my goodness what worrying times !
