On Monday Hibs announced that the SFA had apologised to them after David Dickinson refused to order an on field review in their match against Aberdeen after David Munro had missed a handball from Nicky Devlin.

This morning the SFA reinforced their backing for the Renfrew based official by putting him in charge of next week’s match when Kilmarnock face Philippe Clement’s side. For good measure Munro will be on the touchline as Fourth Official with Andrew Dallas on VAR.

Dickinson’s is increasingly becoming untouchable in the eyes of Crawford Allan, in November at Hampden he was seen celebrating with Clement while picking up a fee as Fourth Official.

Next Wednesday’s match will be the third time in his last eight matches that Dickinson has been put in charge of away matches involving Clement’s side, the others were at Motherwell on December 24 and against St Mirren on January 27.

With Willie Collum and Nick Walsh off the rota for SPFL matches it increases the frequency that Dickinson, Alan Muir, Steven McLean and John Beaton are put in charge of Clement’s side.

Dickinson, Munro and Dallas – What a dream team for Sevco in a potential banana skin…

Safe in the knowledge that Lord Lucan-Nicholson will be conspicuous by his silence and Daddy Lawwell as well…

And Sonny Lawwell gets a pass on this one quite rightly as it’s not his remit !

Nothing to do with refs that’s a sideshow and a dead cat thrown on to the table to take the heat off Liewell and his son who looks like an extra from the film Deliverance.

Dallas gets a hell of a lot of VAR gigs at Ibrox huh
