Thousands of Ibrox Season Ticket holders won’t be watching next season’s Glasgow Derbies after a 5% agreement to away fans was struck with the SPFL.

Loyal bears high on MyGers points will be at Celtic Park alongside the fat cats for the first Derby of next season with around 3,000 tickets being made available.

Starting from the Main Stand side of the Lisbon Lions Stand a line will be be drawn down both tiers with segregation enforced with Celtic fans to the right.

Since Celtic have mainly sold Season Tickets in the Lisbon Lions Stand for 17 SPFL matches there will be no changes for those fans.

Away fans at Ibrox currently get a small corner section between the Govan and Boomloan Road Stands which holds around 900 seats with 700 tickets generally available.

With Celtic due to get 2,400 tickets for the second Derby of next season it looks like they will be all be housed in the Broomloan Road Stand with the previous away corner likely to be used for segregation, a no-man’s land.

The Broomloan Road Stand seats around 7,000 fans, Celtic will get just over one third of that, another sizeable section will be given over to segregation with home fans seated on the Main Stand side.

Around 4,000 seats will have to be given up to make the new arrangement safe with Bisgrove having to reduce the Season Tickets for those areas affected to 17 SPFL matches.

Man, I’ll bet you Budweiser bosses shall be high fiving and back slapping each other at that announcement or agreement ?

  • John S says:

I notice that some broadcasters are stating the ban on away tickets was due to ‘safety concerns’. Whilst the Ibrox club have admitted they cannot guarantee the safety of visitors no such thing existed at Celtic Park. The spurious ban was a unilateral decision.

    No club cares about supporters

    Òh ye of short memories
You voiced banning as you wished, now you object when the SPFL wish different.

Gives them the feeling of superiority they crave?

  • the maister says:

Ostesibly, sevco have put one over on Celtic on this!
An agreement by both Clubs to allow 5% of capacity to away fans will result in 3 020 of them at Celtic Park and only 2 540 Tims at ipox.
    Unfair, or what?

    The Orcs are RAGIN ‘!!!

  • the maister says:

More Huns will see the game live than Celtic supporters?
If that’s the case then the Celtic Board should be ashamed and resign forthwith!
