Watch Scott Sinclair classic first ever goal- solo special from 2007!

Scott Sinclair turned 35 on Monday with Twitter throwing up a brilliant clip of his first ever senior goal. It was a taster of what Celtic fans would enjoy a decade later.

Back in January 2007 the young winger was sent on loan to Plymouth from Chelsea, in his second appearance he found his side leading 1-0 away to Barnet when he picked up the ball deep in his own half.

It was wondeful, magical as he ran the best part of 80 yards shrugging aside defender before stabbing a right foot shot across Ross Flitney to put his side 2-0 up with seven minutes left to play.

The teenager on loan from Chelsea had delivered the win bonus.

Plymouth was one of six loan spells that Sinclair went on before moving to Swansea where former Chelsea youth coach Brendan Rodgers was in charge.

There was another move to the big time at Manchester City after two years in Wales but in August 2016 Rodgers and Sinclair teamed up to devastating effect at Celtic.

Signed for £2.5m from Aston Villa he scored in his first six SPFL games while Moussa Dembele was in the limelight, at the end of the season he was Celtic’s top scorer in the SPFL with 21 goals from 30 starts and five appearances off the bench.

Now onto his 14th club Sinclair has scored a more modest three goals this season in League One for Bristol Rovers.
