The regulars at the Brazen Head had another celebrity Celtic visitor this week.

Last year complete in his Double Denim combo, Jota popped in for a look around before heading up the road to Hampden where he scored the only goal of the Scottish Cup semi-final to put down the final deposit on another Treble.

During his first spell in charge Brendan Rodgers made an appearance at the iconic Gorbals pub, earlier this week Maik Nawrocki signed the Visitors Book if there was such a thing.

The defender has had a difficult first season at Celtic, blighted by injuries with the unexpected rise to prominence of Liam Scales effectively sealing one place in the heart of the hoops defence.

The Brazen would never be described as a trendy, hipster pub. It is what it says on the tin and that is a place for Celtic supporters to drop in and feel at home.

Anyone passing by along Pollokshaws Road or Cumberland Street would be in no doubt about the identity of the pub with Celtic’s successes celebrated in banners on the outside.

With no Celtic fans at Ibrox on Sunday business will be brisk at the Brazen which is almost equidistant between the three major Glasgow football grounds.
