Glasgow Rangers disappeared altogether- Westminster MP calls out the Continuation Lie

The football Governance Bill was discussed again today in the House of Parliament with a surprising outburst of honesty.

English lower league clubs are increasingly finding themselves getting eased out of the picture while the EPL reinforces its position as the wealthiest league in the world.

Clubs falling out of the EPL are finding life increasingly difficult with Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland all spending time down in the third tier.

Derby County and Bolton are currently chasing promotion back to the Championship, with Rangers earning a mention today of the problems clubs face when they spend next year’s money chasing success today.

But if what they are doing, as Derby County did, as Glasgow Rangers did, is actually to spend money from the future that means that if this years risk fails the club is inevitably going to go burst, in the case of Glasgow Rangers disappear altogether, in the case of Derby County almost disappear. Then that is a risk that the football fans aren’t prepared to take then the regulator should prevent, surely.

That an MP can prepare himself for some incoming abuse, being reminded of the realities of 2012 is something that the loyal bears have been shielded from by the compliant Scottish media and authorities.
