Paranoid Butland fires back at the imaginary critics

After just 49 matches for the Ibrox Tribute Act Jack Butland is already dripping in paranoia.

In his last two appearances the former Crystal Palace reserve has lost six goals as his club shipped precious points and the door closed on his hopes of an England recall.

Butland is a safe pair of hands to put in front of the fawning media, ahead of facing Dundee he had the script word perfect as he recalled generations of the club being written off.

One title win in 11 years would suggest that there is a problem delivering trophies, since losing at Ross County on Sunday most of the criticism has come from the loyal bears that were convinced that Tavpen, Goldson and Lundstram could be transformed into winners by a Proper Football Manager (not Micky Beale).

On the morning of April 7 Butland and his mates were 90 minutes away from going a point above Celtic with a game in hand.

A win tomorrow at Dundee will put the 2012 Tribute Act a point behind Celtic with a trip to the home of the champions looming in the third post-split fixture on May 11.
