Philippe Clement is in the front line of the despair being shared tonight by loyal bears following the 3-2 defeat away to Ross County.

Less than a month ago the baldie Belgian could do no wrong but with just two wins, both against Hibs in the last seven matches even the Gullible & Deluded are starting to see through the former Monaco boss.

‘A Proper Manager’ was the instant judgement when Clement was brought in but after 10 monfs of listening to the fings that Micky Beale finks about anyone else was bound to get that fawning adulation.

Steely like most bears was convinced that Mister Clement could get a tune out of the car crash left behind by Beale, Celtic had gone backwards since the return of Brendan Rodgers which opened the door to glory for the success starved bears.

Winning the League Cup against Aberdeen brought incredible scenes of joy but a 2-1 defeat to Celtic a fortnight later was an early warning that Clement might not be the bright, emerging coaching talent that the media messengers had portrayed him as.

After a week slaughtering Dundee to meet the media agenda Clement screwed it up big time today which piles the pressure on for Wednesday’s match wherever it is played.

With their top six place secured Dundee won’t be short of motivation as they get their chance to send a message to the drainage and climate expert from Belgium.

If any further points are dropped this week Clement might be wise to check out the terms of his contract, if he needs an indication of the patience of the fans and directors he should get in touch with Beale and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
