Despite both the Daily Record and The Sun reporting on Borna Barisic confronting a fan outside of Ibrox on Sunday BBC Scotland has chosen to ignore last night’s video clip from their Gossip round up.
If there is a good news story about Ibrox to be found on Football Insider or in an obscure foreign publication the BBC will be all over it but any bad news is strictly off the menu with the state broadcaster.
Soon after 9pm on Monday a video clip appeared that showed Borna Barisic stopping signing autographs to confront a fan, presumably for something critical that was said.
Websites were soon onto the Barisic story but the state broadcaster decided to avoid it, instead picking up on the prospect of signing Paddy McNair as reported by the Belfast Telegraph.
It seems that a far fetched Team Talk exclusive about a 17-year-old Motherwell player is the big headline for the state broadcaster which pays Tom English, Kenny Macintyre, Jane Lewis, Steven Thompson, Kenny Miller, Neil McCann, Rory Loy and Alasdair Lamont and barely come up with a genuine news story.
As well as Barisic there is a clip of Jack Butland confronting a fan after Sunday’s match.
After a laughable seven year stand off between the Ibrox club and the state broadcaster the bridges have been mended with some brain numbing exclusive interviews involving Thompson and Todd Cantwell as well as a fascinating interview between English and Butland.
