Phil Clement is reported to be close to kick starting his summer Revolution! with the signing of Jefte.
No fee is being mentioned in reports that the Brazilian is Ibrox bound after a season on loan playing in the Cypriot League for Apoel Nicosia.
With Borna Barisic out of contract and frantic efforts being made to sell Ridvan Yilmaz Jefte has every chance of starting next season as first choice left-back.
Picking up on reports coming from Brazil, writing in The Sun Ibrox specialist Andy Devlin reports:
PHILIPPE CLEMENT is closing in on making Jefte his first signing of the summer.
SunSport understands the Brazilian left-back is poised to undergo a medical ahead of his move to Rangers.
The 21-year-old came close to joining Gers in January but a deal with Apoel Nicosia for the on-loan Fluminense star fell through at the 11th hour.
Clement was always likely to revive his interest, and it’s understood he moved quickly to secure the defender on a four-year deal.
Jefte could be joined by Liam Kelly now that the Motherwell and Scotland keeper has held talks over a proposed return to Rangers, as SunSport revealed.
It is hard to spin Jefte and Kelly as leading a Revolution! when a year ago Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers were signing up straight from Serie A. Reports on Jefte suggest that he has similar attributes to Alexandro Bernabei.
Neither player is being reported to be jetting in or amazed by the state-of-the-art facilities at Murray Park.
In January Clement committed £4.5m to the delayed signing of Mohamed Diomante, with Jefte and Kelly leading the way it seems that it will be a very limited transfer warchest this summer.
As well as Barisic it seems certain that John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, Kemar Roofe and Leon Balogun will be leaving as free agents next k.
According to Transfermarkt Jefte is only 20, hasn’t played a first team match for Fluminense and has made 31 league appearances for APOEL.

Never thought I’d see the day when a guy called LIAM KELLY…would be playing for Sevco…I know he was there before…but it’s changed days from when I was a lad…He wouldn’t have been allowed near the place..wi’ a name like that.
Won’t be long till Jefte is told to Jefte Fuck !!!
