After the match and the presentation thousands of Celtic fans headed into the city centre to celebrate their team’s 54th Championship success.
St Mirren made the home side sweat it out to get their victory, Joe Hart said a very emotional farewell and the redemption of Brendan Rodgers was completed.
A rare day of prolonged sunshine added to the atmosphere as for the third season in a row thousands made the mile and a half long journey down the Gallowgate to celebrate an epic campaign that had looked it jeopardy just over a month ago.

If Celtic had lost at Ibrox on April 7 they’d have slipped back to second place having played a game more than Phil Clement’s side.
A rollercoaster 90 plus minutes ended in a stalemate, Celtic retained their edge with the homeside wilting under the pressure of expectations away to Ross County and Dundee.
Last Saturday Celtic virtually clinched the title with a 2-1 victory in the post split Derby match, it was official after a 5-0 win over Kilmarnock in midweek with the presentation today.

We are currently record winners of the Scottish League flag, with 54 titles. The original Huns alsoclaim that number. However, the very first Scottish League title, was shared by Dumbarton and the Huns.
Onwards and upwards to our 55th and 56th league flags. Unlike the claims of supporters of the tribute act, these will be real titles, if/when they are won. Most of their claimed titles, were purchased from a dead club.
