I absolutely love it- watch Joe Hart’s emotional Celtic Park speech

Three years ago the thought of Joe Hart playing for Celtic seemed about as ridiculous as Brendan Rodgers returning to manage the hoops.

After a glorious period at Manchester City was halted by the appointment of Pep Guardiola it seemed to be all downhill for Hart as he slipped out of the public eye.

Torino, West Ham and Burnley were added to his CV before Tottenham and the humiliation of being told that he had been demoted to third choice ‘keeper.

In Glasgow a new manager was unconvinced by Vasilis Barkas and Scott Bain, they had each played in one leg of the Champions League exit to Midtjylland, at that time Ange Postecoglou picked up on Hart’s situation at Spurs.

It is doubtful if any transfer has ever been so mutually beneficial, Hart has been instrumental in three years of success for Celtic with the club providing the ‘keeper with a fitting send off to his career.

In January there was speculation that Celtic might be looking for a new goalkeeper, in February Hart announced his retirement at the end of the season.

It seemed to have a galvanising effect on the Celtic squad, they had plenty of motivations to win the SPFL title but ‘doing it for Joe’ was certainly one of them.

Knowing that it is all about to come to an end, a lifetime in football chasing dreams and ambitions isn’t easy to deal with but with one more medal secured and the prospect of another Hart is certainly bowing out in style.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

As for Void doing a bunk to avoid the Celtic celebrations of the league title, someone mentioned that Sky should get shot of him, this ain’t going to happen anytime soon as his auld man got Void in there on Sky by a tickly handshake so he ain’t going nowhere anytime soon.

Only a leg up from his da could get him that gig as he doesn’t have the brains or character to get him there himself.
A grown man close to 40 years of age still relying on his da to get things done for him, what a bawbag.
