Kyogo Furuhashi has vowed to keep on delivering the goals as Celtic chase a trophy double.

The striker was at his very best with a double against Hearts yesterday on the back of a barely rewarding trip to Dundee a week ago.

Class is permanent however with Kyogo’s one touch finishes putting Celtic 2-0 in front of Hearts before the midway point in the first half.

Both goals had class stamped all over them as the striker made full use of the vision and delivery of Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley to move Celtic to within touching distance of a third successive SPFL title.

This season has been a tough one for Kyogo and the Celtic support, but the class of the striker has never been in doubt.

Without Jota and Liel Abada the supply from wide areas has been greatly reduced, Hatate adds a new dimension to the supply from midfield.

James Forrest and Nicolas Kuhn offered a different threat from the wide areas which Hearts struggled to contain.

With Daizen Maeda back in the mix things are bubbling along perfectly with a full week to prepare for the Glasgow Derby- the fixture that Kyogo netted in seven times last year.

Well impressed by attitude yesterday…Never say die approach was good to watch…Calmac’s contribution was the icing on the cake…He looked back to his best…The team works so hard out of possession…Opposition can’t handle it…Bring on Sevco…Hail hail.

Great performance yesterday from the bhoys. Keep it up.
Watch out for the biggest lie down since Dunfermline today though.

Stevie – I think that Kilmarnock will give them a good game today and hopefully maybe even sneak a win or a draw, as long as they keep eleven men on the park.

  • HC Andersen says:

Oh dear what did I tell you Stevie.
Killie red card 10 minutes after opening the scoring, haven’t seen the action so not sure if it was a stonewaller or not. Equaliser on 45+8.
Wow has any first half gone to 45+10 anywhere in Scotland this season?

    Great performance.
One thing drives me mad and I can’t see why BR puts up with it. No matter who picks up the ball for a thrown-in on the left hand side of the pitch they wait until Taylor comes to take it and he stands about confused for 30 seconds deciding what to do with it.as by that time everyone is marked. I think it was O’Riley who lifted the ball and was about to quickly start a move when he turned round to see Taylor running up shouting and he gave the ball to him. It is kind of funny but a detail the manager should sort out.
