Sixteen days after his well publicised final appearance Celtic have tweeted about Joe Hart’s retirement.
It seems a curious tweet, before and after his final Celtic Park appearance and then the Scottish Cup Final there was plenty of focus on the retirement of the former England keeper.
Hart has made a number of posts on Instagram thanking the Celtic support for the backing he has to give his eventful career a finale that included seven domestic medals and two Champions League campaigns.

After the double celebrations there hasn’t been much content coming out of Celtic although having four players at the European Championships will be well covered.
Signing Hart’s replacement is the issue that fans are looking out for, the first pre-season match is away at Ayr United on July 5 followed by three high profile friendlies in the USA later in the month.
The Scotland quartet plus Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers involvement at the Copa America will result in a staggered return to pre-season training with fans expecting some high quality signings after the disappointment of recruitment last summer.
Four players at Euro 2024…
Plus an expert analyst – Joe Joe Super Joe !!!
Strange timing from the social media dept,16 days after the big man said his final farewell to us all.Asleep at the wheel what!!.
I think big Joe gave the club plenty notice. I think the new goalkeeper should have been picked well before now.i hope they get it sorted now need to bed them in best to get them and stop all the shite from press. Because we no the just love to run our club down.
We need a goal keeper that,s not just good but one that,s going to be around for 4+ seasons ,being linked keepers that are in their 30’s is NOT the answer ,goalie is our last line of defence he must be a good all round keeper and rest of defence built around him, so no to big Fraser, no to McCarthy and any 30+ players including outfield like Armstrong past is past ,move on move forward .
