The Daily Record is often referred to as the Day-late Record, today they have gone much much further back in time as the Reach Group expose their basic lack of football knowledge.
According to the Record Adam Asghar is arriving at Celtic to take charge of the u-18 side, a move that has been widely speculated over with Asghar currently managing Southampton’s u-21 side.
Nothing much wrong with that but the next segment is almost two months out of date at the Record reports:
Meanwhile, Lanarkshire Live Sport understands Jonny Hayes is set to be appointed the assistant manager to Darren O’Dea at the club’s B team, meaning he will take on Lanarkshire sides East Kilbride, Albion Rovers and Caledonian Braves in the Lowland League next term.
O’Dea is not the manager of the Celtic B team, as Football Scotland reported on April 19 the Irishman has taken up a newly created post as Professional Player Pathway Manager which is expected to revolve around placing players on loan and building up relationships with the clubs involved.
O’Dea had been joint manager of the Celtic B team last season with Stephen McManus which also involved the UEFA Youth League as well as the Lowland League.
Celtic’s B team has played in the Lowland League for each of the last three seasons with another season at that level agreed with the Lowland League clubs.
Aye well said that The Daily Record are ‘miles out’…
They are certainly ‘miles out’ on circulation sales – and falling at a fast rate of knots thankfully –
And hopefully one day very soon…
They will be ‘miles out’ of this earth that we live on –
As that’ll mean that just like their beloved late ‘rangers’ they’ll be as dead as The do-do !
Daily rectum, delivering shite on a daily basis
Is there really any point in having the ‘B’ Team at all?
It provides very few who develop into 1st team candidates and must surely cost a lot to run? Personally I’d look at an alternative option and maybe that is what Darren O’Dea will be focusing on for the future. Sign young players and farm them out immediately and watch their progress in various leagues. Once they’re nearly at our 1st team level, loan them out around the SPL and let them prove themselves there. It would help the SPL though my motives are a lot closer to home. Help other teams to make up for all the cheating we’ve witnessed for decades to crush them cheating, lying, orange bastards from Ibrox.
