Kyogo Furuhashi has been making the most of his close season break with a busman’s holiday to Japan.
Other players prefer to enjoy sunshine and beaches during their four or five week break but as Celtic fans know their top striker does things a little differently.
Three years ago Kyogo was waving farewell to Vissel Kobe fans, setting off for life in Scotland as the key signing of Ange Postecoglou.
No-one could have dreamed of the success that he would achieve, on the pitch with his goalscoring or on the Celtic support with his enthusiasm and affinity with the fans who’ve been with him since a debut hat-trick against Dundee in August 2022.

At the National Stadium for the match against Tokyo Frontale Kyogo enjoyed a bit of everything including a stint in the commentary box and taking on the megaphone to chant with the Vissel Ultras.
Last July there were some concerns about a recurring shoulder issue but there has been no suggestion that Kyogo has undergone any surgery to correct the issue.
It seems that the striker knows how to deal with any problem with new adventures kicking off soon with pre-season training approaching followed by a trip to the USA in July where Celtic will face DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Barbie has just been binned by sevco.
They’ll take the trophies with them to North America!
