A curious tweet from Turkey has claim that Celtic have made a €9m (£8.2m) bid for Dominik Livakovic.

The Croatian keeper was outstanding at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with strong speculation that he was a Celtic transfer target last summer.

With Joe Hart entering the final season of his contract the feeling among fans was that summer 2023 was the time to bring in an established ‘keeper rather than rely solely on the former England keeper for another season.

There seemed to be little substance to back up the speculation, after a fairly drawn out saga Livakovic moved to Turkey but late this afternoon there was a further, delayed claim.

The credibility of the account is open to question, Marca is a recognised sports brand but the Twitter account connects to a Linkedin account with just one follower.

Celtic’s recruitment processes seem to be something of a mystery but the need for a first choice keeper has been long known, before Hart announced his retirement in February.

At this stage the list of keepers we haven’t been linked with is possibly shorter than the ones we have been?
Wouldn’t be surprised that anyone over 25 even buying a set of keepers gloves will possibly get linked with been a target for ourselves, at this stage?
Think this so called link is just another to add to the overflowing bullshit pile imo?

Well, if you’re going to pay big money for a Goalkeeper, then you have to know what you are looking for.
    Right!?

On Benji Siegrist possibly going to Aberdeen?. Ben is no mug goalkeeper. Followers of Scottish football
regarded him highly when he was at Dundee Utd. As a youth he was an exceptional talent. I believe he
hung around Britain for too long when younger.

He would have achieved more by building his reputation in Continental Europe. You judge a goalkeeper by game stats and seeing how they perform under
pressure during games. Training drills are a poor guide. He will still have that quick instinctive reaction in him.

Ben has previously matched skills with the best SPL keepers. Scotland has had some top knotch stoppers. In the SPL, Ben will not disappoint fans at Celtic or Aberdeen. It won’t take long for Ben to acquit himself at a high performing level during ECL games. That’s my leap of faith in him. Ben is a man who has never complained; unlike a few recent Celtic players who were shunted.

Could Ben be as good as Joe was for Celtic?. An emphatic Yes from me!

Tobi Oluwayemi is returning to Celtic FC with not a lot of game time under his belt. He is a very clean, safe, handy keeper. If Tobi is interested, could he be sale or loan pitched for transfer to Aberdeen?
