Alistair Johnston was on the end of a head-butting incident during Canada’s 1-0 win over Peru at the Copa America.
Six minutes before half-time with the match goal-less Johnston was jogging towards Marcos Lopez when the Feyenoord winger turned round and motioned his head towards the Celt.
Johnston paused at the shock, crouched briefly then stood up expecting action to be taken but no cards were shown despite a VAR review.

Peru’s Miguel Araujo was red carded in the 59th minute with Jonathan David scoring the only goal of the game in the 74th minute to put Canada in pole position to qualify as runners up to Argentina.
Canada complete their group against Chile on Saturday knowing that a draw will secure them second place and a quarter-final tie which will probably be against Venezuela or Mexico.
Johnston is likely to get a short break after the tournament before joining Celtic for their three pre-season friendlies in the US which starts on July 21 against DC United.
