James Tavernier looked in hostage mode as he modelled the latest kit launch from Castore, perched on the famous Ibrox marble staircase.
With Murrayfield set to e announced as their new home the latest kit pays homage to the iconic Ibrox Stadium featuring the criss-cross design at the front of the Main Stand.
When any of the 47,000 Season Ticket holders are back in their seats remains something of a secret with a rogue Asian supplier being blamed for the delay.
In among the shambles of reconstruction work on the Copland Road Stand we’ve had the amusing attempt to strip Tavernier of the captaincy which saw the Daily Record quickly hit reverse gear.
Initially Jack Butland was to become the club captain but it seemed that someone jumped the gun with the ‘story’ watered down to Butland becoming captain IF Tavernier is shipped out the club. Signed in 2015 from Wigan there hasn’t been the slightest interest in the Hall of Famer.
As the picture below shows the current skipper hardly seems full of the joys of life as he anticipates another season alongside Todd Cantwell and trying to avoid the word disappointed in his media interviews.
In a blast from the past Lee McCulloch popped up in the kit launch video, his last appearance was in the memorable 2015 Premiership Play Off defeat at Fir Park.
When will the fuckin nightmare end? I’m in some sort of James Tavernier purgatory with no way out ????? pic.twitter.com/cdIpQEoPww

On Monday the photographers were outside Murray Park as the serial losers clocked in for pre-season training.
It only takes a few seconds to smile behind the wheel to give off the right message, Tav looked like OJ Simpson heading in for another court appearances as he approached the iconic gates to begin another stint of conditioning.
With two years left on his lucrative deal the former Wigan ace will have to go through the race process again next season.

Sp how come sevco blocked Cinch getting a plug on the advertising boards and totally f****d up that deal with Cinch ending it early, with the sevco excuse it clashed with Parks deal.
Well William Hill are the new sponsors which clashes with Unibet on sevco’s jerseys how come they ain’t kicking up the same stink with this deal.
A question maybe a certain journalist could put out there.
Maybe Tav is just wondering how he will cope in a new team, in a new league where he won’t be handed a convenient penalty or three every time they’re losing and where getting sent off is actually a realistic prospect, even against the so-called smaller teams.
