Genk have announced the signing of Oh Hyeon-gyu from Celtic.
The Belgian side trailed a signing at 3pm then produced a video welcome for the striker at 4pm.
Oh featured in Celtic’s pre-season matches against Ayr United and Queens Park but after 18 months as a back up striker he has moved to join the Belgian club.
With Adam Idah back at Norwich it leaves Kyogo Furuhashi as the only striker left at the club ahead of a three match trip to the USA that starts on July 21 against DC United.

Oh scored five goals from just three starts in the SPFL last season but came off the bench 17 times with the bulk of those appearances coming before the January break.
Asian Cup duty took the striker away from Celtic with Brendan Rodgers bringing in Adam Idah on loan with the Irish striker making an instant impact with critical goals.
Oh’s last appearance off the bench was at home to Kilmarnock in February as the hoops drew 1-1, towards the end of the season he struggled to make the match day squad.
A fee of around £2m was paid to Suwon Samsung in January 2023 to bring in the striker ahead of the transfer of Giorgos Giakoumakis to Atlanta United.
