Robert Marshall, father of Ibrox SLO Greg, has sent out a heartfelt plea to loyal bears to lay off Chairman John Bennett and his fellow Directors.
After the ecstasy of a 2-1 win over Motherwell reality returned on Tuesday night when Dinamo Kiev cruised by a heartless side put together by Phil Clement after 10 months at the club.
Doubts are now being expressed about the ability of A Proper Football Manager with the clamour growing towards the annual autumn sacking.
Most fans can see through the media hype about the playing squad, after losing to Kiev Charlie Miller and Kris Boyd have both been highly critical of aspects of the club.
While anger is around it is apathy that is worrying those at the top of the Marble Staircase of Dignity with more than 10,000 empty seats at Hampden on Tuesday.
Less than 20,000 are expected for the League Cup tie against St Johnstone on Saturday with commercial activities falling through the floor due to results and the closure of Ibrox.
With a match against Celtic on the horizon there is a real fear that the Directors rather than the players or manager will become the targets for angry bears, many of whom are ready to throw in the towel on their trophy hopes for the season.
Just before 1am on Follow Follow Marshall laid out his stall:
First of all, let me get this upfront,Our signing of players has nowhere come close to the quality we should expect with the money we have spent over the last couple of seasons.
The Copland Stand fiasco is an absolute shambles and is embarrassing to the Club and us as fans.On the face of it, James Bisgrove was out of his depth as a CEO and swanned off to the Middle East with a fantastic salary, which most of us would have done, as soon as the problems with the Copland arose, or maybe he was lucky that the offer came at a very good time for him. I have no idea.
Every signing whether it be Players or Managers has been fragmented. Now here is the crux of the matter, The last couple of Managers before the present were recommended to the Board by Ross Wilson, Gio, and Michael Beale. The Board’s job was to take the DoF’s advice, which is what they did
We can all give our opinion on if they were a good appointment or not.I thought Gio was harshly treated, and that Michael, in hindsight was the wrong appointment. As for Phillippe Clement, the guy has not even had a full season, once he gets his players in, then is the time to judge him, this is the time to support him.
Back to the Board, they have provided all the recent Managers with funds, and I think we will all agree. that so far we have not seen enough of what we wanted. So the Board has put up the funds for Managers players and the Copland Stand which was their job, the construction contract was the responsibility of the Project Manager and the rest is on the football side of the Club.I have met most of our Board and I can honestly say hand on heart that these guys have the Club in their DNA
John Bennett is one of the most decent human beings I have had the privilege of meeting. As a Club, we will never have a Board that cares as much. They need to appoint a CEO who has experience running a football Club and can grasp the unique West of Scotland rivalry
Our fans have been through Hell for the last twelve years but we will come through this and hopefully, it will start this seasonIf you disagree with some of this or even all of this, then that is fine, but I ask one thing, to show these Directors a bit of respect.
I am taking my Grandson and my Sister in laws two Grandsons to Hampden on Saturday and without these guys, we might not have a ClubEither way, I will be going this season and every season until I am no longer able to because that’s what we do.God Bless The Rangers
With a business entirely dependent on money from fans through ticket sales and merchandise the Ibrox board has become increasingly reactionary to the opinions of Follow Follow.
Van Bronckhorst, Beale and Clement were all appointed on a wave of euphoria from the online bears then chased out of town after failing miserably against Selik.
Win a moral victory and three defeats to Celtic on his CV the September 1 Glasgow Derby could be a pivotal day for Clement regardless of his recently extended contract.
With a vested interest through his son’s job and the Louden Tavern living off crowds at Ibrox there was plenty of criticism through the night for Marshall’s rallying cry- for some it provide a new target for criticism.
Clement will face the media today and tomorrow at Hampden but it is Invisible Man Bennett that bears want to hear from with the team in as much disarray as the Copland Stand which looks highly unlikely to be ready for the visit of Hibs on September 28.

It sounds like Marshall and doughball of a boy of his are looking to somehow lick ARSES to get on that board at some point.
Just how stupid is Marshall,he has those 2 pubs in and around the stadium which must’ve losing some amount of business due to clusterfuck of the construction on the stadium which the klub are to blame for,and here he is doing some serious ARSE LICKING to Bennett and others at the klub.
I work in the Govan area every time I have walked by both pubs they are shut,he must be losing some amount of trade, and should ibrox continue to stay closed his pubs will probably fold.
Wee Barry giving it some in the Record this morning anaw
‘ I’ll be there at Hampden the morra lads ‘
As much fun as it is laughing at sevco and the mess they are in ,it does look like their board of directors actually care about there club, how many times have they dipped into their own pockets to bail out sevco,in contrast out board desmond liewell etc have never and would never dip into their own pockets to help Celtic, we’re fortunate that they’ve never had to buy knowing how every penny of the fans money is a prisoner to liewell does anyone think he would ever do what sevco board members do and commit some of his own millions he has made out of penny pinching and hampering managers, John Mcginn, Steven Fletcher, lost our because liewell wouldn’t fork out and since those days we are piss poor in Europe every season, how Lawell can sit on that uefa committee while his team get humped every year in Europe, anyone else would be embarrassed but not liewell, you couldn’t mar his neck with a blow torch.
Bisgrove left 3 months ago, so why even mention him?
Bennett must be getting pelters from all sides then?
…and which means that Clement will be departing before Bennett?
As uve pointed out their last 3 appts were HAILED as Messiahs with particular accolades of “The brains behind Gimp” & “A proper Fitbaw Mger” according tae Auld Spew lol! Marshall is ur TYPICAL FAT HUN wae eez Size 6XL physique but wae a “World Class” knowledge of who shd be signed in his own TINY DELUDED MIND! Wid Luv them beat in 90 mins ramorra but a repeat of 2021 & pens wid make it aw the better viewing AHAHAHAHAHA!!
“West of Scotland rivalry”, now there’s a euphemism, like “taking the dog for a walk”.
