Celtic are reported to be showing interest in Marseille midfielder Mahamadou Diawara.
With a week to go in the transfer window there are almost hourly transfer links springing up but the Diawara claim comes from France Football reporter Nabil Djellet.
France Football is one of the longest running and most respected publishers in Europe with Djellet attracting over 550,000 Twitter followers.

TRANSLATION: Lacking playing time at OL, Mahamadou Diawara has an offer from Celtic Glasgow, qualified in C1. Other clubs are interested in the young 19-year-old midfielder, including L1 clubs (Nantes, Lens, etc.).
That background sounds very much like last summer’s project signing template that brought in Odin Thiago Holm and Kwon Hyeok-kyu.
Last season Diawara started 11 matches in midfield but even if Matt O’Riley is sold to Brighton it would be assumed that Paulo Bernardo or another new signing would step up into the regular Starting XI.
The source and timing of the story deserves respect, Celtic’s Champions League makes them an attractive proposition but it is difficult to see a French teenager forcing their way into regular first team football under RodgerS.

Thank goodness we have Champions League football to attract players with otherwise we might struggle to sign anyone ?
