Adam Idah has been named as a substitute for Norwich in their Championship opener away to Oxford today.
In midweek it was claimed that Celtic had put in an increased offer for the striker but with the competitive action underway for both clubs the striker remains at Carrow Road.
Today’s match is the competitive debut for new Norwich boss Johannes Thorup who has had to do without Jonathan Rowe who has been the suject of interest from Marseilles.

Idah only started seven matches last season but scored nine goals including twice in the Glasgow Derby.
His last involvement was to score in the Scottish Cup Final on May 25, with only a change in goalkeeper the Celtic squad going into Sunday’s match away to Hibs is weaker, in February Idah started away to Hibs, scoring twice to secure a vital three points.
Celtic have sold Oh Hyeon-gyu to Genk since the season ended leaving Mikey Johnston as the alternative to Kyogo Furuhashi.
If anyone has any lingering doubts about the ambition level of the Board:
Mikey as Kyogo’s back up just says it all! 🙁
He is a Celtic player all the board are doing is saving a few pennies by allowing him to remain at Norwich for as long as possible as they are picking up his tab(wages).
Celtic will bring him to the club last minute style, they will see that they don’t have to giving him £15-20 grand a week wages just now when Norwich are paying him.
As said previously £6 million upfront and the £8 million figure or target will be paid depending on champions league progress and winning the league and cups.
As Hot Chocolate would sing Everyone’s A Winner.
Aye but Norwich City losing to Championship New Guys On The Block Oxford United without scoring could derail any aspirations that Daddy Lawwell had of knocking a few million off his transfer fee sonit will…
So probably Na Da, Na Da then –
Hope to F**k I’m so very wrong though !
Idah, promising player, would be a good addition but the fee required might be better spent in Belgium, Holland or somewhere other than the inflated English market.
