Leeds United have denied having any interest in signing Rabbi Matondo.
Some of the usual media messengers put the story out overnight but the reporter closest to the Yorkshire club has shot the story down.
A year ago Leeds signed Glen Kamara from the 2012 Tribute Act but they seem to have drawn the line at ‘Welsh speedster’ Matondo.
Two years ago Giovanni van Bronckhorst swooped to sign Matondo from Schalke 04 with the Record and others drooling over claims that their new star was faster than Usain Bolt.
Unfortunately he also plays football like the legendary Jamaican sprinter.

Halfway through a four year contract it is highly unlikely that any club will go near matching Matondo’s Ibrox deal which is reported to be around £30,000 a week.
With two weeks left in the transfer window it looks like the Welshman will join Ianis Hagi and Todd Cantwell going out on loan towards the end of the window with the bulk of their wages being paid from Phil Clement’s warchest.
Leeds were constantly linked with £12m swoops for Ryan Kent but never once made a bid, not even when the former Liverpool star was available as a free agent.
