Signing an extended contract on Friday brought Phil Clement 24 hours respite from criticism, after drawing 0-0 with Hearts more bears were wondering why their current manager was given a new deal, basically an increased pay off.
The new manager bounce and honeymoon is well and truly over, heading into a Champions League qualifier on Tuesday Clement has a record of six wins in 16 matches, a run that excludes four winless pre-season friendlies.
When your post match interview on Sky Sports includes a reference to John Lundstram the alarm bells start ringing even louder.
Phillipe Clement as Rangers manager:
P44 W30 D8 L6 (68% win rate and 2.23 PPG)
Michael Beale as Rangers manager:
P43 W31 D4 L8 (72% win rate and 2.26 PPG)

The 16 match run started at home to Motherwell on March 2, despite getting a lifeline through Tavpen on the hour mark it was the relegation threatened visitors that took full points.
At the start of April the tide really started to turn against Clement with a haul of two points from matches against Celtic, Ross County and Dundee when the title winning merchandise was about to be signed off.
There was a reaction to that with three successive wins but the season ended with one win in four, at home to Dundee in among losing twice to Celtic as the hoops lifted trophy 117 and 118.
After visiting Poland on Tuesday the circus turns up at Hampden with Motherwell, Dinamo Kiev and St Johnstone to be faced at Clement’s new home from home.
I got mocked at the time but stats prove me right. Instead of panicking we should have kept Beale and let him work.
Clement’s record is worse yet he gets a new contract.
The board’s decision is baffling and yet again Clement gets it wrong and his PMP was utterly woeful.

I’ll be the first to admit I hated Beale and hounded him out.
But if we had kept him out season wouldn’t have changed. 2nd and the LC was essentially nailed on

Yep. We hounded out Beale who is a world regarded tactician after three bad games.
I’m not daft. I know Beale wasn’t perfect and made mistakes but stats don’t lie.
The happy clappers won’t like this but he is a better manager than Clement.

The statistics say it all: Clement is not delivering. I hope some of the optimistic fans wake up and realise we shouldn’t accept mediocrity. It’s a results business !

To be fair to Right Said Phil, Beale got more resources to work with and bought garbage which Clement has been saddled with. If only he hadn’t then bought more dreck… ah well what a shame so sad etc. etc…..
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA GET IT RIGHT UP THE BIG BALDY LOSER!!!
When they are harking back to the halcyon days of Beale, you know their manager is already seriously in the keech. By giving him the contract extension are they effectively making him unsackable – even if it means a return to a level of competitiveness last seen in the John Greig era or Jock Wallace’s second reign, when they would be in competition with the likes of St Mirren and Dundee for a UEFA Cup place?!
Nothing to worry about here for the sevco klan fan base, 9 new players with Wankland and Rogrer Whittaker next 2 players to signed.
THE QUADRUPLE IS ON,JUST ASK THE PLAYERS.
Don’t Worry lads, I’m With The AA!
Prawn sarnie anyone?!
Sounds to me that Clement got a new deal cause he was promised stuff, realised it was never coming, threatened to walk and hey presto – new contract!
Monsieur Clement is doing a fantastic job re-aligning the fantasists to reality.
